In accordance with GB17440 standards on 'Grain processing, storage, and transportation system dust explosion-proof safety regulations,' silos are classified within China's dust explosion-proof 20 zone environment. Consequently, the electrical equipment in silos must comply with these stringent safety protocols. Currently, most conventional sweep auger motors are installed inside silos, necessitating motors that meet the 20 zone explosion-proof criteria. However, such explosion-proof motors are currently unavailable both domestically and globally. As a result, many companies resort to using 21 zone dust explosion-proof motors, which introduces inherent safety risks.
This challenge has made it imperative to address the safety risks associated with placing equipment with electric motors inside silos, presenting a significant technical hurdle for industry experts.
