In accordance with China's GB17440 'Grain Processing, Storage and Transportation System Dust Explosion-Proof Safety Regulations,' silos are classified within the dust explosion-proof 20 zone environment. This stipulates that any electrical equipment used inside the silo must comply with stringent dust explosion-proof 20 zone standards. Currently, most conventional sweep augers on the market feature motors installed within the silo itself. As per regulations, these products require motors that meet dust explosion-proof 20 zone criteria. Unfortunately, such motors are not readily available either domestically or internationally, forcing many companies to opt for sweep auger products equipped with dust explosion-proof 21 zone motors, which poses certain safety risks.
